i really want a good old faux fur coat. Ive been browsing on ebay and most of them are squirrel fur which really turns my stomach. My auntie who is 60, has kept every item of clothing she has ever worn in her humungous wardrobe, and rekons shes got a quality faux fur coat, so im keeping my tiny fingers crossed.
i wouldn't wear a fur coat to college, my very close friend would call me battleaxe, as everytime we see someone wearing a tacky fur coat, we rekon that they look like someone from gladiators, and not in a good way.

pheww! its Gareth Pugh

not only do i regard Gareth Pugh as one of the most influential new designers of the 21st century, but i hold his background life very dear to my heart.

his designs aside, he is my inspiration to know that there is a possibility of life outside of this city.

as you know, I do not like living here and the bright lights of where I want to be seem so very dim.
But it turns out that not only is Gareth Pugh from this squaller which I call home, but he went to the same college as me.
I like to think that if i try hard enough, nothing is impossible.
I loved in how a interview with him in either Vogue or Elle last year, he remembers to mention how fish and chips back home are the best in the world.
I am proud to come from here, just i think that there is more for me, which Gareth has proved and although it hardly means a thing, it is a small glimmer of hope in the darkness like.
I love his edgy look, and has been described as if the Wizard of Oz has bumped into Predator. I am in my youth, he is in his youth, which is definately a time fo change and rebellion, and people seem to like it. For me, he is the epitamy of British style, edgy, rebellious, abstract and glam.

Ask not what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive... then go and do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive - Howard Thurman

These floral tights are super cute heww
ive always wanted some for years after seeing an exquisite piece of flesh wearing them on a street style blog. Ive always been reluctant, where it seems im living in a society where any individuality is punishable by deathly stares and vulger comments. But im determined to stop that becoming an issue, because i shouldn't hide myself for the benefit of other people. I only came to this conclusion when seeing her pictures of these tights, almost like a "screw the world" epiphany
so hopefully they will become a permanent fixture in the wardrobe

Atonement-Ian McEwan

"But how to do feelings? All very well to write, She felt sad, or describe what a sad person might do, but what of sadness itself, how was that put across so it could be felt in all its lowering immediacy? Even harder was the threat, or the confusion of feeling contradictory things"

For auld lang syne

good morrow children of the world wide web
one of my new year resolutions is to spend more time dedicated to my blog
because normally I just tend to do it on a Monday for one hour, the only time I get to go on a computer in college, but hopefully I can squeeze in some more time for it.
Its like a baby that needs tending to all the time.

The holiday period has been good, without being over the top, just nice.
Im starting to worry because when I was young, Christmas used to be one of the only times where I am jolly, but slowly as Ive got older, the magic has died. This was the first year where I could take it or leave it. Sad.

I went for a little stroll around the shops in between Christmas and new year, although my city centre is incredibly dull, shopping wise, that is why I mostly like to go on ebay for individual pieces, rather than become a slave to high street drivel. I decided to ransack the local charity shops, hoping that something would catch my eye, but I didn't have high hopes. But then, I found the holy grail. A late eighties, early nineties, just my gestimation, gold dust creation by the late Mister Yves Saint Laurent.
A tartan pattern, without making me look ridiculously Scottish, in red with tailoring which Alexander McQueen would be proud of. I could hardly breath, ive never owned anything by such a big designer. I did not buy just for the label, it is a beautiful blazer, worthy of pride of place in my wardrobe. I also bought a floral top and TWO bags. under £15 for the lot.

I finally broke in my cheaper version of the gucci heel when I went out before Christmas, which I have been dying to do.

Im also crushing on these bad boys

So I hope that everyone has a amazing 2009, cos i bloody hope I do
